Challenge

An urban medical center needed to repurpose 28,000 square feet after services moved to a new children’s hospital. Specialized equipment, ventilation, water treatment, continuing care, and limited facilities capacity complicated planning.

Response

PMO Partners interviewed stakeholders and coordinated construction managers, architects, engineers, and space planning colleagues. The team developed an integrated timeline and divided the program into eight focused subprojects covering twenty-three relocations.

Outcome

The $9.3 million estimate and sequencing plan gave leadership enough confidence to fund all eight subprojects. Implementation finished on time and on budget with minimal disruption to patients and staff. The case shows how careful planning supports a funding decision as well as the work that follows it.

An edited client story. Outcomes and figures describe the reported engagement, rather than a promise of results for another organization.
