Assess more than immediate speed

AI can accelerate analysis, research, administration, and communication. Those gains deserve serious attention, alongside security, intellectual-property, cost, and longer-term workforce implications. An efficiency gain is less valuable if it weakens critical thinking or creates dependence the organization does not understand.

Make the business case explicit

Define the problem, expected return, and risks before selecting a tool. Consider whether processes, information, and working practices need to change first. Keep people responsible for evaluating outputs and applying professional judgment. The strongest use of AI helps teams develop and exercise their abilities while producing better work, rather than allowing convenience to replace competence.
