Integrate the people and delivery plans
A project can meet technical requirements and still fail if people cannot adopt it. Equally, enthusiastic employees cannot rescue tools that do not work or a schedule that exhausts the organization. Project and change management depend on one another.
When deadlines tighten, cutting training and communication may reduce apparent schedule pressure while increasing adoption risk.
Assess, respond, and adapt
Change management draws on evidence and experience to diagnose readiness, choose interventions, and monitor the response. Human behavior is variable, so an intervention cannot guarantee an identical outcome in every setting.
That uncertainty calls for professional judgment, not dismissal of the discipline. Establish a clear view of employee needs, organizational conditions, and implementation risks. Track whether the approach is working and adjust when the evidence changes. Strong change leadership makes adoption an explicit part of the business plan.
