Challenge

Unplanned equipment downtime, inconsistent records, weak spare-parts controls, and emergency vendor support were eroding margins. The plant recognized its break-fix culture but lacked the capacity to define a better approach.

Response

PMO Partners assessed maintenance across 10 dimensions and mapped activities by value. The review identified 8 percent of time spent on non-value-added tasks and recommended immediate discipline within the existing asset-management system, followed by longer-term CMMS and staffing improvements.

Outcome

The assessment identified approximately $455,000 in annualized savings opportunities. A sequenced roadmap prioritized retraining, tracked daily assignments, and stronger parts management. These were identified opportunities and recommended actions, rather than a claim that every saving had already been realized.

An edited client story. Outcomes and figures describe the reported engagement, rather than a promise of results for another organization.
