Challenge
A Midwestern food manufacturer was growing profitably but running too many projects at once. Inconsistent priorities and resistance to formal processes threatened important initiatives and the ability to sustain growth.
Response
PMO Partners assessed portfolio practices, clarified governance responsibilities, and supported a cultural transition through communication and coaching. Standard submission forms, charters, and approval steps connected new projects with a common decision process.
Outcome
All new projects followed the process by handoff. The first-quarter portfolio report recorded 45 active corporate projects, 31 completions, eight cancellations, and three to five new starts per month. The mix reflected innovation priorities. Follow-up mentoring helped the internal portfolio manager refine and sustain the approach.
