Create a reason to act

Teams move more effectively when they understand and believe in the urgency. Connect the initiative to a clear internal need or external change, and explain what timely action will accomplish.

Give the work a leader and a plan

Protect the initiative leader’s capacity from competing duties. Take enough time to define the target, identify the necessary work, sequence it, and adjust as conditions change. A straightforward plan prevents avoidable rework.

Maintain the operating rhythm

Set expectations, track actions and decisions, manage risk, and follow up consistently. Bring the right people and information together when issues arise. Rapid execution depends on coordinated effort and timely decisions, not simply asking already-busy teams to work harder.
