Challenge

A startup advancing renewable hydrocarbon materials needed to coordinate specifications, R&D, regulatory preparation, intellectual property, and contract manufacturing on a tight timeline. More than twenty project participants lacked a clear core decision structure.

Response

PMO Partners aligned executives and teams around a charter, development roadmap, lean core team, dashboards, and a detailed schedule. Critical-path analysis brought important decisions and manufacturer engagement forward. The team executed and refined the plan over six months.

Outcome

The program met its key objectives on time, finalized requirements, and developed an industrial-scale process. Production was delayed because raw material economics were not yet attractive. Readiness nonetheless supported a joint venture with a major energy company to manufacture, fund, and market the products. The case reflects a deliberate commercial decision rather than an immediate profitable launch.

An edited client story. Outcomes and figures describe the reported engagement, rather than a promise of results for another organization.
