Examine the constraint first
MedTech manufacturers must balance throughput, inventory, quality, sterility, and patient needs. Interruptions can arise from inspections, quality holds, specialized materials, or sterilization capacity. Buying equipment before understanding those constraints can add cost without resolving the bottleneck.
Align productivity decisions
Assess the actual production flow and agree on the outcomes that matter most. More capacity and better productivity are different objectives; lower inventory and stronger service also require explicit tradeoffs. Focus on a few priorities that will make a material difference.
Use the current system better
Evaluate advanced planning and scheduling alongside the manufacturing execution system. Improve the combination of validated equipment, skilled people, compliant processes, and digital capabilities. That assessment establishes a stronger basis for future capital decisions while helping teams protect reliability and audit readiness.
