Challenge

A personal care manufacturer needed greater throughput and flexibility in labor-intensive casing and palletizing operations. A complex mix of sizes and configurations made solution selection difficult.

Response

PMO Partners documented product requirements, quantified inefficiencies, and developed specifications with the client team. It evaluated vendor proposals, recommended a solution, and prepared the return analysis and capital request. Cash constraints delayed approval by about eighteen months.

Outcome

Twelve lines ultimately received new case packers and robotic palletizers. Personnel requirements fell by two per line, or twenty-four per shift and seventy-two in total. Eliminating bottlenecks also supported higher line speeds, more flexible patterns and sizes, real-time reporting, and improved defect detection and handling.

An edited client story. Outcomes and figures describe the reported engagement, rather than a promise of results for another organization.
