Challenge

A global pharmaceutical and medical-device business acquired a product portfolio and faced a six-month integration window. The work extended beyond product transfer into enterprise systems, operating processes, and coordination across sites.

Response

PMO Partners connected workstreams across six locations, including regulatory labeling, ERP, contracts, training, and customer communication. A key manufacturing site adopted the acquirer’s quality and ERP systems and ramped production in under three months, despite a transition of that scope typically taking a year or more.

Outcome

Systems migrated successfully before the transition-services agreement expired, enabling the company to disconnect from the former network. Customer communications and contract updates supported continuity. Separately, R&D changes included added scientific capability, space decisions, and moves to lower-cost centers, saving approximately $15 million annually. Working relationships established across production sites supported future collaboration.
