Challenge
A company with an innovative first-generation device faced new competition and pressure to improve usability, serviceability, functionality, and manufacturing cost. Multiple development teams needed a coordinated plan on an aggressive timeline.
Response
PMO Partners combined facilitation, product development, and project leadership expertise. Virtual workshops aligned requirements, processes, risks, and cross-functional responsibilities. Follow-up work with seven workstreams produced an integrated roadmap, staged milestones, and a shared risk register in about eight weeks.
Outcome
At publication, the company had completed concept testing and feasibility and projected that it would meet production and service savings targets. The roadmap also supported future open-architecture capabilities. Projected benefits remained forecasts; the demonstrated result was a coordinated plan and completed early development phase.
