Challenge
A mature project-management group tracked activity but lacked portfolio governance. Too many initiatives diluted resources, while several projects supporting a next-generation surgical-device launch were already behind schedule.
Response
PMO Partners assessed the portfolio, developed tailored prioritization and governance practices, and trained teams. The approach connected project selection with strategic goals and made capacity and accountability more visible.
Outcome
From February to May, projects slipping each month decreased from 7.4 to two, and average delay fell from 71 to 50 days. The company met its global-conference launch deadlines and gained a repeatable way to discontinue lower-priority work and protect critical initiatives.
