Challenge

An acquisition-led manufacturer tried to extend a successful PLM platform to a site with highly customized products. Workflows designed for high-volume production created manual-entry bottlenecks and failed to accommodate engineering complexity.

Response

PMO Partners mapped product-introduction and engineering-change processes across sites, defined business and system requirements, and assessed the existing platform against them. The recommendation combined shared standards, tailored workflows, and integration with core systems.

Outcome

The company avoided an unnecessary platform replacement, which comparable efforts suggested could add six to nine months or more. Implementation was still underway in the source account, including data preparation and testing; anticipated efficiency benefits should therefore be understood as expected outcomes.
