Challenge

Monthly planning meetings sometimes drew more than 90 people, lasted four hours, and included over 200 slides. Tactical detail obscured decisions, while unclear ownership weakened forecasting and alignment.

Response

PMO Partners worked with finance leaders to separate demand and supply reviews, clarify responsibilities, and define escalation paths. Presentations fell to 34 slides and regular attendance decreased by about two-thirds. Concise scorecards kept the right decision-makers focused on relevant information.

Outcome

Meeting time dropped to two hours, returning more than $550,000 in annualized staff time. The planning horizon extended to 24–36 months, with stronger links between sales and operations and better ownership of decisions.
