Small teams still need shared priorities

Emerging biotechnology companies can experience serious misalignment despite their size. Clinical changes may outpace CMC capacity. Leadership transitions can blur ownership. Financial and partnership risks may remain disconnected from development plans.

PMO Partners has helped teams address these challenges through clearer governance, integrated schedules, transparent communication, and agreement about organizational exposure.

Make the discussion specific

Start with three questions: Which two measurable milestones matter most in the next six and twelve months? Which two business risks threaten the company most? Which two project risks could prevent those milestones? Compare the answers across executives and functional leaders.

Disagreement is useful evidence. It reveals where priorities, risk tolerance, or operating assumptions need attention. Resolve those differences, assign decision authority, and revisit the answers as development progresses. Teams make better use of limited funding when strategy reflects operational capacity.
